Call for Submissions to Dirty, Sexy History

Hey guys!

I have some exciting news! As you know, I love my history posts, so I have built a new website that will focus on what I love best: history! This will continue to be my blog where I post book news and host some of my favorite authors, but I will also be posting my history articles on I'm hoping that the new website will be easier for us all to navigate, and so far, I really like the new format. Stop by to have a look and tell me what you think!

I would like to make the new site a home for my favorite kinds of history articles. With all my posts on contraception, venereal disease, causes of death, poisons, illegitimacy, etc, you may have noticed I'm drawn to darker themes. For Dirty, Sexy History, I am looking for posts from historians, authors, and historical enthusiasts on anything related to sex (including prostitution, contraception, venereal disease, sexual practices, LGBT history, marriage, divorce, etc) and literal or figurative "dirt" (sanitation, disease, death, crime, violence, madness, scandal, poverty, etc). Posts can also be bios of interesting or infamous people.

This site is a work in progress, but right now it has most of my history posts from the last couple of years as well as many of the history posts hosted on this blog. I am hoping to build it gradually into a resource for all the "good stuff"* in history. So if you or anyone you know would like to submit, bring me your pirates, your highwaymen, and your executioners! Bring me your harlots, your dissenters, and your pickpockets! All time periods, locations, and many subjects welcome. Hope on over to and submit your ideas via the form and I will get in touch with you as soon as possible to discuss them.

Please stop by, comment, subscribe, and share. This is going to be fun!

*It's all good stuff. ;)
